East Coast Art Studios is a unique creative space for artists, nestled in the heart of Bray, Co Wicklow.

The studios hosts daytime, evening and private classes in painting and drawing and is open to creatives of all levels and interests to join at anytime.

Work with professional artist Eoin Llewellyn in a collective, positive and  creative atmosphere while exploring individual artistic goals and interests, and increase your knowledge in Oil painting, watercolor and drawing techniques.

Participants receive individual time with the teacher to ask questions, discuss ideas, and work through techniques. All classes include ongoing live demonstrations from the teacher to highlight various techniques relevant to student’s interests, be they contemporary or classical.

You can choose from a range of short or long-term courses or simply drop in and work in the studio for a session of your choice.

Past students have used East Coast Art Studios to:

  • Study art, painting drawing at you own pace in an open college timetable

  • Learn how to transform initial ideas into fully-realised drawings and paintings from sketch book to finished work.
  • Develop themes into a series of work for a gallery show or portfolio
  • Overcome creative blocks from the home studio or fear of simply doing art

Use the time to study the styles of artists such as Goya, Picasso, Sargent, Lucien Freud, Jenny Saville, Egon Schiele, Bauhaus, Francis Bacon, Diego Velazquez, Monet, Marlene Dumas and Peter Doig, or simply pursue your own style and work from images and drawings you bring to the studio.
