Screen Acting Course at StageScreen Classes

The Screen Acting Course is for students who wish to focus on acting to camera. In this seven week course students will be taken through script breakdown, characterisation and screen acting techniques carefully designed to enhance believability in a performance. Techniques includes the Stanislavski and Meisner techniques.

During the course all students will get a chance to rehearse and have a showreel scene filmed by working industry professionals. Advice on getting started in the industry in also included. The course is limited to small numbers to ensure enough one to one training and development.

On week six, students in the screen acting course join classes with the filmmaking course giving acting students a chance to work with new upcoming directors and to network.

StageScreen Classes also act as agent to all its acting students, and have connections to all the major casting directors in Ireland.

I have just completed the screen acting course and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It’s hard to believe what we crammed into just 7 weeks. Conor was a great teaching, we covered the basics of putting together a proper acting cv, through to some theory from Stanislavski, Meiser et al, improv, tips for characterisation and much more. The classes were small in numbers and so very intensive. There wasn’t a question any student asked to which Conor didn’t have a knowledgeable or informative answer for. An absolute must for anyone with an interest in acting and especially so for anyone wishing to gain a foothold in the industry. Overall it was a very rewarding and pleasurable experience’
