Aontas is launching the 2022 edition of The Adult Learner online on Monday, 21st November from 10am to 12.30pm.

Founded in the 1980s, this highly-regarded journal is essential reading for anyone interested in or studying adult learning. It is the only peer-reviewed journal of Adult and Community Education in Ireland.

The journal this year is a space to reflect on how we define “success”.

What does success mean in adult and community education, and in further education? Do our measures capture what success means to learners? Contributors will share key messages from their articles.

The launch will discuss ideas like social transformation, inclusion and human rights, learner voice and identity and critical pedagogy. There will be lots of time for discussion and there will be discussion groups for each of these topics, hosted by authors and members of the Editorial Board.
