They provide award-winning onsite and online legal training courses run by the Diploma Centre and Law Society Professional Training, as well as some externally-hosted events.

About the Law Society of Ireland

This organisation is the educational, representative and regulatory body of the solicitors' profession in Ireland. It is the professional body for its solicitor members, to whom it also provides services and support.  The Law Society of Ireland is governed by a Council, comprising elected and nominated members of the solicitors’ profession.

Programmes

The Diploma Centre, as part of the Law Society of Ireland Law School, has provided continuing professional education and training for over 20 years. Their primary aim as a legal education service provider is to offer high quality, relevant course content. These courses are open to, and especially relevant for, solicitors, trainees and barristers.

Core and innovative course offerings

The Diploma Centre offers a diverse range of courses. First of all, these include core fields of interest for solicitors. Furthermore, they offer innovative new programmes which reflect the specialist areas of practice in which the legal profession increasingly operates including a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance, Diploma in Insurance Law, Diploma in Technology Law and Diploma in Sports Law. All of these courses confer postgraduate qualifications. They are available online, live and on-demand. Hence, this provides a dynamic platform of flexible, accessible learning.
