About IBAT

IBAT College Dublin is Ireland’s leading industry-focused third level institution. It provides a rich blend of high quality undergraduate, postgraduate and professional education with a state-of-the-art learning environment in a range of subject areas including:

  • business, digital marketing, computing and ICT, sports management, tourism and English language.

Established in 2004 in Swords county, Dublin, IBAT opened a new campus in 2011 in the heart of the city centre at Wellington Quay in Temple Bar. This modern, purpose-built campus houses five floors of teaching and learning facilities including classrooms, an auditorium, IT labs, a library, an MBA debating chamber as well as student recreation and study areas.

In 2016, the college was acquired by Global University Systems – one of Europe’s largest private university and college groups. This acquisition provides IBAT College with the opportunity to widen the market reach of its programmes through GUS’ international education network which extends across more than 60 countries and helps broaden the portfolio of programmes available at the college through collaboration with GUS’ numerous partners.

Education is critical to Ireland’s regeneration and future success. It demands a new approach – an approach that can innovate and evolve at the same pace as business and technology; a model that espouses the highest quality of education and focuses on equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to progress in their chosen career or upskill and retrain where necessary to ensure they can stay ahead in their field.

IBAT College Dublin pioneers this new model of education. It emerges from and represents the entrepreneurial, ambitious and pragmatic new culture that will continue to drive Ireland’s international success by creating a practical and innovative knowledge economy that benefits all.

At IBAT College Dublin, we pride ourselves in how we guide, support and mentor our students throughout their college experience and into their working lives. Our smaller class sizes make for a more interactive and personal learning environment, allowing for the practical as well as academic side of course material to be fully explored. Employers need graduates that can hit the ground running and our students enjoy some of the most relevant course content and teaching techniques in the country.

IBAT College Dublin has links with over 400 private enterprises, public organisations and NGOs across the country, including small to medium sized indigenous businesses as well as multinational corporations. A key objective of IBAT College Dublin is to ensure students have a positive, useful and engaging experience during their period of study.

The college’s biggest strength is our people. The academic team at IBAT has significant lecturing experience as well as many years of industry experience. We understand the challenges that exist within industry today and our priority is to ensure that our graduates are fully prepared to differentiate themselves in the workplace upon graduation.
