This course is designed for learners who have already completed year 1 of our Special Needs Assisting QQI component award course and now wish to get a Major QQI Level 5 award in Community Care.

Special Needs Assisting Level 6 component award

Participant Criteria:

Students must already have completed Year 1 (4 Modules)  or equivalent.

  •  Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent. However, applications will also be considered from people without these qualifications.
  • Students are required to complete 50 hours of Work Experience PER TERM, which they must arrange themselves. Ideally, Work Experience should be done one day per week and must run for the full duration of the course (October / April).
  • New learners will be invited to attend an Induction Meeting with the course tutor prior to enrolment. This
    meeting will take place on Monday 9th or Tuesday 10th September, 2019 between 6.00p.m. and 8.00p.m.
