The Level 4 Aesthetic Therapy diploma is the most advanced course to enter the beauty sector available. Produced in partnership by A.T.A.I and IQ Verify certification body. More advanced than CIDESCO, CIBTAC or ITEC it is the qualification for school leavers wanting to become specialised aesthetic therapists.

We provide all the foundational skills found in a typical beauty diploma but elevated to satisfy the requirements of the advanced nature of aesthetic beauty.

Our Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Therapy provides a solid foundation to enter the rapidly growing industry. Once completed you are ready to practice with sought-after Level 4 qualifications including chemical skin peels, micro-needling, IPL for skin rejuvenation, laser for hair removal, radio frequency RF for skin tightening and contouring. Facial electrics, facial therapy, electrolysis, LED therapy, needless mesotherapy. A robust understanding of topical skin therapy including advanced facials. Dermal science is central to this qualification instilling a sophisticated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biology and pathology.

80% of your class time is spent on practical training. Delivering theory through eLearning allows a core focus in producing an outstanding hands-on practical educational experience. Acquire skills to provide a thorough consultation to establish client suitability for treatment and also the knowledge on how to formulate a specific treatment plan tailored to suit individual client’s needs. Learners will also be able to provide the client with relevant post-care to maximise treatment results and look after their skin post-treatment. Understand the systems of the body, how nutrition affects skin health while also gaining a full understanding of the physiology of ageing. Learn about evidence-based practice, professionalism, law and ethics. Learn about at-risk groups and body dysmorphia through psychology for aesthetics practice.

During the course, you will undertake clinical training in a variety of settings. You will learn to identify, evaluate and manage the physical, psychological and social needs of clients undergoing dermal assessment and treatment for conditions such as:

  • wound healing
  • scarring
  • inflammatory conditions
  • skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and rosacea
  • uneven skin tone and pigmentation
  • ageing or sun-damaged skin

Understand the skin as an organ and how nutrition, environmental factors, stress and lifestyle impact skin health. Learn research methodology and evidence-based practice. Understand how to create complex treatment plans, advanced consultation skills and how to identify at-risk groups through aesthetic psychology.

course duration

9 Months part-time 3 days per week. Plus at-home learning through our online learning platform is specifically designed for healthcare courses. While we call this a part-time course, due to the 3 day per week college commitment the level of theory study required will see you need to treat the course as full-time study.

Our aesthetics courses are all designed for people without existing experience, as such core skills of client care, professionalism, ethics, psychology for aesthetic practice and clinical governance are all covered. You will gain the needed skills to holistically treat the body’s largest organ while understanding how diet and environmental factors influence skin health. We move far beyond brand training to equip you with the understanding of the science behind cosmeceutical products and the knowledge of evidence-based practice to make informed decisions for complex treatment protocols.
