BA Adult, Community and Further Education
If you are interested in understanding how adults learn, education across the lifespan, design and delivery of Adult Education programmes, and are working in, or seeking to work in learning contexts across community and further education, then this degree is for you (Teaching Council Accredited - route 3).

  • The BA Adult, Community and Further Education (part-time) strand of MH804 offers core modules and the option to register for optional modules during years 2-4.
  • New students of this degree may have been out of the education system for some time. We therefore dedicate time across all years to study skills and student support.
  • In some cases, applicants can use previous learning towards the degree award (after year 1) through the University's Recognition of Prior Learning system.
  • This programme is 6 years part-time
  • The timetable will change after year 4, and you must be available to attend on campus at least one day per week.
  • From year 4 onwards, you must complete a placement with a registered Further Education Provider.
  • All applicants must complete Garda (police) vetting before commencing the course.
