The Portuguese Language Centre was founded in 2010 by the Portuguese language teacher Juliana Menezes to teach and promote the language in Ireland.
Every year, hundreds of students from all over the globe learn Portuguese with us for various reasons and purposes. For more than 13 years now we have been providing high quality classes for people who have partners from Brazil, Portugal, Angola or Mozambique and for others who come to study in order to be able to communicate well in Portuguese, to go on a trip or work in one of the countries where Portuguese is spoken.
We deliver high quality Brazilian Portuguese and European Portuguese private and small group classes over five terms, each of eight weeks, each year. We offer different types of classes, from complete beginner to advanced, from afternoon to evening - all online since mid-March 2020.
Our online group classes hold a maximum of 8 students allowing for more interactive lessons and quicker improvement. Students have access to the course material through a learning management system and attend a weekly live class with a qualified and experienced Portuguese language teacher. Our course material is prepared in-house, following the level structure we developed over the years, to gradually increase your proficiency in Portuguese. All courses include practice of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
