A course provider can issue an Award / Certificate on completion of a course of study. These do not fall on the National Framework of Qualifications, rather serve as documentation to mark the end of your programme, usually stating the type of course, when it took place, and what you covered. Some Awards or Certificates might be technical in nature or might be issued by an outside Awarding Body. Others are non-NFQ certificates for those who wish to broaden their knowledge or skills in a particular area. Course providers offering hobbyist or introductory courses may provide an Award / Certificate.
