Mindfulness Meditation: how to cultivate presence in a busy world
What is mindfulness? Why does it matter? And how can we benefit from it in the midst of a
fast-paced life?
This 8-week course answers these questions and provides practical tools to help you stay
grounded and present, even when life gets hectic.
Backed by research, mindfulness has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and
overthinking. It can boost your mood, enhance well-being, and improve overall quality of
life.
Each week we will explore different themes such as intention, acceptance, kindness and self-
compassion through both discussion and guided practice.
We’ll look at how autopilot mode affects us and explore easy-to-learn techniques that help
bring more awareness into everyday life.
You’ll get to experience mindfulness in different forms: journaling, mindful breathing,
mindful movement, and mindful eating. By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear
understanding of the foundations of mindfulness and how to integrate them into your daily
routine.
This course is open to everyone, whether you are brand new to mindfulness or looking to
strengthen an existing practice. Group sharing and personal reflection are encouraged as
valuable parts of the learning process.
Note: Please bring a notebook and pen to each session, and wear comfortable clothing as some
sessions will include gentle movement.
