
This course is for people who wish to pursue a career in working with children with special needs as
an assistant within an educational setting.
The Special Needs Assisting Course aims to:
Work Experience:
Candidates will have to complete at least 30 hours working with individuals with Special Needs under the age of 18 in the following educational setting only - Primary School, Secondary School and Special School Setting.
You cannot complete these hours in an Early Learning Centre (Creche)
Entry Requirements:
Candidates who do not currently work in this area must be prepared to undertake the work experience outlined above. Junior Certificate level is usually required. All learners must be fluent English speakers.
This may lead to a major award in Early Childhood Care and Education Code 5M2009
Course Day & Time: Thursday Evening 6.30 – 9.30 pm

Cost: €285 (Payment Plan Option, 3 payments of €95)
Course Format: Face to Face in class with tutor
