Upon completion of the course content, you'll take a 100-question online final exam, accessible from anywhere. The exam is timed (120 minutes max) and requires a passing score of 70% or higher. You’ll have three attempts to pass, with additional retests available through NASM Member Services.

How many CEUs is the course worth?
NASM-CWC is approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the following organizations:

How many questions are on the final exam and how long do I have to complete it ?
There are 100 multiple-choice questions on the final exam and you’ll have 120 minutes to complete it. You have 365 days from the date of purchase to complete your final exam.
How is the final exam administered?
The final exam is administered online within your student portal. It consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and 120 minutes for completion. You have 3 attempts to pass with a 70% or higher.
Do I need a fitness credential before obtaining the Certified Wellness Coach Certification?
While a fitness credential such as the Personal Trainer Certification, Nutrition Certification, or Behavior Change Specialization is recommended, it is not required to take the NASM-CWC course.
Will a certificate be mailed to me?
Once you successfully pass your exam, a digital copy of your certificate will become available to you within 24 hours, but in most cases immediately. Within 4-6 weeks, a hardcopy certificate will be mailed to the address you have on your NASM account.
Do I have to renew my certificate?
To maintain your certification, you must submit 1.9 CEUs (continuing education units) every two years. Unlike other NASM renewable credentials, the CWC will NOT require a renewal application fee. However, credential holders will be responsible for any applicable late fees.
