
On completion of this training programme, participants will have an improved understanding of the law governing environmental and planning law in Ireland and recent developments in these areas, as well as a greater understanding of other areas of Irish law to be considered in relation to climate change.
The Micro-Credential in Environmental Law and Climate Change explores the legal, regulatory and policy frameworks that govern environmental and planning law and climate change mitigation and adaptation in Ireland. The Micro-Credential will consider (among other topics) relevant Irish legislation and EU regulations, environmental governance requirements, and current and emerging challenges facing practitioners.
All aspects of the Micro-Credential will be delivered online. Participants will attend a live opening lecture online (a recording of this lecture will also be made available) and will access subsequent recorded lectures via ‘The Hub’ (the Law Society’s bespoke online learning platform). Participants will also attend two live, online, interactive workshops led by experienced practitioners to facilitate an enhanced understanding of the topics discussed during lectures.
The workshop is a key feature of this course. It is designed to be interactive and to consolidate knowledge. The workshop date is as follows:
