Introduction to Calligraphy and Paper Craft
Course Description:
Who doesn’t love receiving a card? Why not explore the creative possibilities of pen, paper, inks and other art materials in this night class to create your own cards? Participants will learn to decorate their own creative papers and will use a variety of materials to produce cards, booklets, notelets, folders and other stationary, while building on the fundamentals of the Italic Script to write greetings and quotes. No artistic experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to explore the fun of ‘crafting’ with Calligraphy.
Materials needed: please note as the class progresses other materials might be required.
1. Pilot Parallel Pen 2.4 mm
2. Coloured markers and a Black Pigment marker 1mm
3. HEAVY weight paper sheets A4 size (200 grms)/ or some card weight paper
4. A3” Daler Rowney” Art Pad available in most Art shops
5. Ruler metal/plastic Pencils 2 (2b) Putty rubber/ tracing paper/glue stick/sharp scissors
6. Paints/brushes small jars for water/ coloured inks small selection NO oil paints.
