| Career Path | Graduates from the Level 6 programmers may apply for advanced entry on a range of level 7 or level 8 degree programmers in many universities or technological universities around the country. Alternatively, graduates may seek immediate employment in a range of business/industry areas. Graduates from this course may access veterinary nursing degrees in major universities. TUD also accept this course for entry to general science and bioscience degrees. This course links with General Science in UCD (e.g. Zoology) and Agricultural Science in UCD. Other graduates have gone onto further study in Wildlife Biology (Munster Technological University, Tralee), Marine Biology (Atlantic Technological University GMIT), Bio-Veterinary at Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone or Munster Technological University, Tralee. Students who undertake this one-year course in Pre- Physiotherapy studies will gain an understanding of the principles and practices of rehabilitation and an insight into how to assess and treat clients whose movement is restricted by illness, injury, disability or age.
This one-year Health Care Assistant course will aim to prepare students for work with people in a hospital, respite care, social care, community development or residential setting.
This one-year course will equip students with the relevant knowledge and experience to work as a pharmacy counter assistant or pursue a pharmacy technician qualification in the future.
This one-year Animal Care Assistant course is designed to give students an introduction to the world of animal care and grooming.
