Course Description:

Please Note: This course does not qualify you as a Nail Technician

This nail course is ideal for anyone who wishes to become familiar or develop existing knowledge on acrylic nail enhancements.

Weekly plan:

Week 1: Introduction to nail styling

• Natural nail structure discussion and nail prep demo
• Product explanation
• Nail tools demo and practice.
• Types of manicure discussion
• Gelpolish (shellac, UV Polish) demo
• Tip vs form application.
• Product ratio
• Acrylic brush maintenance
• Simple nail extension demo
• Q&A

Week 2: Step by step nails including camouflage acrylics

• E-file manicure demo and testing the equipment (students can bring own e-files for a test)
• Acrylic nails on a tip demo
• Acrylic nails with a form demo
• Types of camouflage and colour acrylics
• Filing techniques
• Q&A

Week 3:  Filing techniques and easy nail art

• Inlay Nail Art with acrylics demo
• Ombre with colour acrylics demo
• Babyboom effect demo
• Nail top coats types
• Q&A

Week 4: Students practice

• 1-1,5h students practice
• Shape correction
• Nail filing practice
• Q&A

Week 5: Acrylic with UV Polish

• UV vs LED Lamps – discussion
• Long nail shapes – tip vs form
• Classic vs elegant vs modern nail shapes
• Types of nail art discussion
• Nail Photography and equipment
• Refiling nail shape demo
• Q&A

Course Day & Time: Thursday evening 7:00 – 9.30pm

Note: Course fee includes Acrylic Nail Kit to the value of €120

Acrylic Pink blush powder 35g,

Acrylic liquid 100ml,

Acrylic brush kolinsky 

Glass dappen dish

Non-acid Primer

Set of Nail files

Orange wood cuticle pusher

Nail cleaner 100ml

Note: During the course, students will be able to purchase other tools or products, if necessary, at discounted rate.

Course Format: In class with tutor

Duration: 5 weeks – Maximum of 12 students in class
