Anyone considering a career teaching English as a foreign language can get practical guidance at a free online webinar hosted by TEFL.ie on Wednesday, 4 November 2026.
The one-hour session, running from 1pm to 2pm GMT, will bring together TEFL specialists and a former or current student perspective to help prospective teachers understand the qualifications available, explore employment options and take their first steps towards a career in TEFL.
John Curry, TEFL Expert, will explain how to get qualified and choose a course that matches individual goals. Emos, TEFL Job Coach, will focus on finding teaching opportunities abroad and online, including what employers look for when recruiting teachers.
Attendees will also hear directly from a TEFL student about their training journey and experiences so far. A live question-and-answer session will give participants the opportunity to put questions to the speakers and receive advice on their own circumstances.
The webinar is aimed at people considering teaching English overseas, working remotely as an online English teacher or exploring TEFL as a new career direction. It offers an opportunity to find out more about the training requirements and employment pathways before committing to a course.
