About Bray Adult Education Centre

The Bray Adult Education Centre is situated in Block E of the Civic Centre in Bray, County Wicklow. The Centre exists to provide a second chance in education to adult learners. For the past decade and a half, it has seen some of the most significant developments in education in Bray. Today there are over 150 students attending a variety of certified courses at BAEC. Subjects include Science, History, Information Technology (including Comp TIA A+), Childcare Studies, Art, Metalwork, Woodwork, and ESOL. The Centre also exists to profile and promote student work.

Why don’t you come into the Centre and see whether it has the course for you? The full-time courses are funded by The Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS), while the part-time courses are funded by The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI). VTOS offers adults the chance to get a useful education by learning things that they have missed out on or re-learn things that they have forgotten. Students are encouraged to apply for funding as soon as they find a suitable course. The places on each course are, of course, limited so book on soon to avoid disappointment.
