The National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) is a non-profit organisation with charitable status. NISO work at establishing Irish workplaces as the safest and healthiest within Europe. In particular, they deliver a wide  range of health and safety training courses at various locations throughout Ireland.

NISO’s Mission

NISO’s mission is to create clean, safe and healthy environments for Irish workers and be the best in Europe at succeeding this. They do this by:
  • Supplying premier information and guidance as well as educational and training services
  • Advocating a health and safety lifestyle within the workplace
  • Playing an essential role in the development of the national health and safety legislation
  • Helping members to understand and spread a culture of health and safety in their workplace


While promoting health and safety in the workplace, NISO also offer occupational health and safety training courses in different locations around the country. These courses are updated and take place on a regular basis. These are Quality and Qualifications Ireland accredited courses. These include:

Public Courses

For over two decades, NISO have been running courses in Health and Safety both in-house for companies as well as open to the public in their offices.
