The closing date to apply for the Irish Refugee Council Education Fund is this Saturday 31st of July. The fund assists people in the asylum process in accessing further and higher education.
The Fund was established in 2015 with support from the Community Foundation for Ireland. The fund provides financial assistance to people in the protection process to access further education. Through very generous donations from the public and the private sector, the fund has continued to assist people in the asylum process with their educational needs including course fees, transportation costs and course materials.
Over 150 people have been assisted into further education through the Fund with more people being supported each year.
