The highly anticipated Irish Barber Expo 2026 is set to return to Opium Dublin on Sunday, May 10, bringing together more than 100 barbers from across Ireland for a celebration of creativity, skill, and community within the barbering industry.
Organised by Cut & Sew, the event has grown into one of the country’s most exciting gatherings for aspiring and professional barbers alike. With live cutting demonstrations, competitions, networking opportunities, and education sessions, the expo continues to showcase the strong demand for skilled professionals in the grooming sector.
Organisers say this year’s event will be “bigger than ever,” with competitors battling to be recognised among the best barbers in Ireland in a positive, supportive atmosphere focused on helping the industry grow.
“This is a show to help the industry. We don’t accept anyone bringing an ego to the show. It’s a fun and safe environment,” organisers stated ahead of the event.
The popularity of barbering as a career path has surged in recent years, with increasing demand for qualified barbers throughout Ireland and the UK. Industry experts say events like the Irish Barber Expo demonstrate how barbering has evolved into a modern profession offering creativity, entrepreneurship, and strong earning potential.
Training providers are encouraging anyone inspired by the event to consider enrolling in a barbering course to develop practical cutting, styling, grooming, and client-service skills. With many barbers progressing to open their own shops or build strong social media followings, barbering is increasingly being viewed as both a trade and a personal brand opportunity.
The Irish Barber Expo runs from 12pm to 7pm and is expected to attract large crowds of industry professionals, students, and grooming enthusiasts from across the country.
