
Flying Turtle Productions, formerly known as the Abbey School of Drama, has officially opened registration for its highly anticipated Adult Actor Summer Workshop Series, taking place from 15th July to 18th August 2025 in Dublin.
These evening-based workshops are specifically designed for adult learners at all stages of experience, from complete beginners to seasoned performers. Participants can expect focused training in a range of acting disciplines, including voice, physical expression, improvisation, and script work. Each workshop runs one evening per week, with a Certificate of Attendance awarded upon completion.
The summer 2025 workshop lineup includes:
Drama Sampler (Course #2528) – For beginners and returners
Dates: Tuesdays, 15th, 22nd & 29th July
A well-rounded introduction to core acting techniques, ideal for those exploring performance for the first time or returning after a break.
Bringing Script to Life (Course #2529A) – For returners and experienced actors
Dates: Wednesdays, 16th & 23rd July
Focuses on interpreting and delivering scripted material with authenticity and presence.
Character Improvisation (Course #2530B) – For returners and experienced actors
Dates: Tuesdays, 5th & 12th August
Helps actors develop believable characters through improvisational techniques.
Expanding Physical and Vocal Expression (Course #2531C) – For returners and experienced actors
Dates: Mondays, 11th & 18th August
Enhances performance range through movement, voice work, and physical awareness.
Each course is classroom-based, held in Dublin 2, and priced between €65 and €90, depending on the specific workshop. Sessions run from 6:30 PM to 9:15 PM.
