After thirteen years on Lower Abbey Street, Flying Turtle Productions and the Abbey School of Drama have moved. They are now the resident performing arts company in the historic landmark building, the Ireland Institute Building, at 27 Pearse Street, Dublin 2.

The Abbey School of Drama is part of the activity of Flying Turtle Productions. It hasestablished itself asa studio known for a very high standard of tuition and production. They offer with small class sizes and top industry professional tutors with a passion for teaching.We have a range ofpart-time adult evening courses as well as youth drama classes on the weekends. There are a wide variety of options such as:

  • Adult Drama for Fun
  • Public Speaking for Non-Actors
  • Customized Corporate Training
  • Acting for Camera
  • Screenwriting
  • Improvisation
  • Advanced Actor Training

Coursesthat culminate in a public performance have a high standard ofachievement. As a result, thesetend to attract students who aremotivated and committed.

AboutFlying Turtle Productions

The Drama/Acting School was createdunder the direction ofKathleen Warner Yeatesin 2003. Itwas formerly based in the Abbey School of Music & Drama on Lower Abbey Street (a performing arts schoolfounded in1995as a collaborative of teachers.) InOctober 2016 it separated from the music school and moved to the Ireland Institute on Pearse Street.

Most class sizes are limited to 12 students maximum. This isin order to provide the highest quality of tuition for each participant. Many courses fill up far in advance.
