The DCU Age-Friendly University (AFU) Initiative will be taking part in the 50 Plus Show Dublin 2026, held at the RDS, Ballsbridge on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th March 2026.
The 50 Plus Show is Ireland’s premier lifestyle event for people aged 50 and over, featuring a diverse range of exhibitors, workshops, demonstrations, and expert talks across health, wellbeing, finance, travel, hobbies, technology, and more.
DCU’s AFU team will host a pop-up stand, providing visitors with information on lifelong learning programmes, educational opportunities, and age-friendly initiatives offered by the university. Attendees will also have the chance to enter a free raffle, with prizes including vouchers for DCU educational courses and programmes designed to foster a love of lifelong learning.
Dr Christine O’Kelly, Age-Friendly University Coordinator, will present at the event, discussing DCU’s age-friendly initiatives and highlighting the value of lifelong learning in later life.
This participation underscores DCU’s commitment to engaging learners of all ages and promoting accessible education opportunities for the over-50s community.
