Want to study part-time at NCAD?

CEAD Open Day is an information event for all current and prospective art and design students who want to progress through part-time accredited study to certificate and diploma level. Whether you are currently on a non-credit beginners or intermediate course, or are a certificate student, this is a must for anyone who wants more information on CEAD Certificate courses, or the CEAD Part-Time Diploma in Art and Design (NFQL 7).

  • Location: NCAD, 100 Thomas Street, D8.

What to Expect at CEAD Open Day

Tutors and students from these certificate and diploma courses will be available to chat and answer questions about the teaching and learning experience at CEAD, NCAD. There will be presentations on all our accredited courses, including information on how to apply, as well as guidelines on portfolio submissions. There will be a Diploma Workshop for certificate students planning to apply for a place on the CEAD Part-Time Diploma in Art & Design in 2019, which will offer guidance around preparing your portfolio.

Staff will be on hand to help you if you are undecided about which CEAD course or module is best suited to you.

The 2019 CEAD Summer Programme

On Open Day we launch the CEAD Summer 2019 programme of short courses. The Summer Programme offers a wide range of courses in fine art and design at different levels, suitable for beginners, or those considering returning to higher education, as well as artists and others who want to up-skill or re-skill and learn something new. The Summer programme also includes the ever-popular Portfolio Preparation course for students who plan to apply for entry to full time studies in art and design for September 2020 and beyond.

Gemma Creagh

Gemma is a nomadic writer, filmmaker, & journalist. She was born in Cork, lives in Dublin, and studied in Belfast & Galway, where she graduated from NUIG’s Writing MA. She has penned articles for national publications and is the editorial assistant for Film Ireland Magazine. Gemma was the writer and co-producer of the five-part comedy ‘Rental Boys’ for RTÉ’s Storyland. Her short films have screened at festivals around the world.
