Join StageScreen Classes this May for a unique 7-week part-time filmmaking course for adults, where you’ll be guided through the full process of creating your own short film - from writing and directing to shooting and editing.

This hands-on programme combines practical workshops in screenwriting, camera, production, directing actors, and editing, delivered by guest tutors and working industry professionals. Students gain experience using professional, industry-standard equipment, alongside insight into how to enter the film industry and develop critical analysis skills.
The course also includes Q&A sessions with established directors, including previous guests such as Oscar-nominated filmmaker Vincent Lambe and director Kate Dolan.
At the end of the course, the best student films are screened at the annual film festival in the Lexicon, giving participants a real-world platform for their work.
This course provides a thorough grounding in all aspecs of film production facilitating a career in the film industry.

I feel so lucky to have found Conor's class and I can not recommend it enough. An excellent teacher, Conor made what seemed like an impossible thing to do an actuality. He took all the mystery out of film making and we made 3 short films and each wrote a script in 7 weeks. Conor will give you all the information you need to know about how to make a film in a thorough and methodical way. He explains everything about the industry in a detailed and clear way. You will get loads of practical experience also in every aspect of filmmaking. Conor also creates a fun and safe environment to work in. By the end of the 7th class you will have the confidence and knowledge to make your own film. It is also great venue for money.
