Our Acting Level 1-3 courses are perfect for anyone who is thinking about a future career in acting, those who simply want to challenge themselves by stretching their creative muscles and participants who are seeking to build on their existing skills to develop character and traits.
Led by The Lir Academy’s core tutors, these workshop-based evening courses are taught over 10 weeks. Each two-and-a-half-hour session consists of a physical warm-up followed by a voice, movement or improvisation class, and finishes with a 90-minute acting workshop.
The courses will cover key elements of actor training including voice, movement and improvisation, and will use classical and contemporary play texts. These workshops mirror the techniques used in drama school training. Each level builds on the last to ensure that each participant is further exploring the development of their craft.
