
The Professional Diploma in Education (FE) is recognised by the Teaching Council as a professional teaching qualification for the Further Education sector. It should also be of interest to people working in other sectors in adult education and lifelong learning. Candidates will normally have a degree (or equivalent at Level 8) or a qualification at level 7 together with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

| Course Time | The programme is offered full-time over one year or part-time over two years. Interested candidates are asked to check with Student Admissions as only one mode (full-time or part-time) will be offered in any given year. The programme is taught using a blend of learning situations (onsite, online and teaching placement). Classes are held at weekends from 18:00 to 21:00 on Friday and from 9:30-12:30 on Saturday morning. |

The Structured PhD programme is a four year structured programme which involves coursework in research methods, core and optional discipline specific courses and generic skills and training.
The Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology (DECPsy) is a highly sought-after three-year, full-time professional training course for candidates interested in pursuing a career as an educational psychologist.
This programme consists of six taught modules and a 20,000 word dissertation.
