This course is aimed at Social Care Workers who are currently in a leadership or management post or for those who wish to progress their careers. The course is designed to enable social care graduates to develop supervisory and management competencies. In recent years management roles in the Social Care sector have undergone significant developments, primarily due to legislative and regulatory requirements. The evolving role of the manager within settings has been identified as a key driver of the provision of quality services, and central to this is the ability of managers to effectively lead people, services and projects. The proposed programme is designed to underpin management and leadership roles within social care settings and to address the professional and personal development of a cohort of emerging managers within Social Care.
