Many graduates of Science, Engineering, Business and other disciplines find themselves in workplace roles with responsibility for Occupational Safety and Health but don't have the relevant training or competency based qualifications. This course is designed as a follow-on to the Higher Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or to up skill professionals with other disciplines to become competent OSH practitioners. Programme Structure:This course is offered part-time over two years through online lectures and resource materials which are available 24/7 to the learner. There will be one workshop per semester where the students will undertake teamwork, case studies, lectures and/or site visits. Assessments will be a blend of online and final examinations and students will be instructed in these online methods at the start of the course. Typically lectures occur on line for approximately one hour for each module and take place over several evenings. There are opportunities to ask questions and interact similar to a real classroom experience or alternatively the live recordings can be accessed for repeat viewing at any time. Participants require a broadband service to access the material and participate on the course. This course is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the only Chartered body for health and safety practitioners and the worlds largest health and safety professional membership organisation.
