AI Essentials - ICDL for Beginners

This course is government-funded for all Irish residents with a PPS number, whether in full time employment or looking for work. The programme is delivered online by Cenit College, an authorised training provider for eCollege.

By completing this course you will be able to:

• Recognise practical uses of AI in everyday life and across different sectors.
• Recognise data privacy, security risks and best practices when using AI tools.
• Understand challenges and risks of AI, including bias and misinformation, and the importance of critical thinking.
• Use generative AI tools responsibly and ethically.
• Identify and use common generative AI tools effectively and write effective prompts to generate and refine AI outputs.

By successfully passing the exam at the end of the course, you will also achieve a Certificate in AI Essentials, an industry recognised qualification certified by ICDL.
