Course content will cover extensive voice and body work, and the creation of original collaboratively created theatre performance. It will culminate in two live performances on March 1st & 2nd 2027 at the Pearse Centre Theatre in Dublin. It is perfect for those of you who are actor/writers or who wish to work to devise collaborative and high quality creative and original theatre performances.
Lead by actor/director/writer Kathleen Warner Yeates, we will challenge you to create two physically contrasting characters which will be woven into a dynamic narrative to create an original theatre performance. This will develop the actor as a creative artist bringing a wealth of ideas into the rehearsal room.
Due to the content of this course the participants must have previous performance experience either in our courses or as professionals. Participants must be committed to working with scene partners, and must be willing to work beyond the allotted class times in rehearsals at times to me mutually agreed. Substantial preparation is required outside normal class times and a commitment to attend every class and the performance technical rehearsal and show dates is required. Additional rehearsals for up to 16 hours will be arranged at mutually agreed times outside of regular class schedule and tech days.
