Golden Stitch was founded by Ginan Abbas. Based in Dublin, Ginan is renowned for her work. It has been featured on TV and her butterfly dress was selected by the Crafts Council of Ireland to be a part of the Showcase exhibition for The Horse Show in the RDS in 2015. In 2016 her work was selected to be featured in the Dublin Fashion Festival. She is greatly inspired by nature which features heavily in her beautiful designs.
Her wedding dress and bespoke range includes intriciate hand stitched embroidery and hand painted organza, with delicate fabrics that have been laser cut. This creates a special textile that will give a unique identity to the wearer. Ginan believes that beautiful clothes should be available to all and so has created a diffusion line. This diffusion line is available from her shop and will soon be available online.
Being born in Iraq, Ginan comes from a long line of tailors. This fusion of eastern and western design gives the clothes a unique flow which accentuate the beauty of the body, whatever your age. The clothes are designed to make a woman look amazing and feel beautiful. The level of detail has been recognised by her peers, with her clothes having been chosen to feature in theatre and television dramas. Whether it’s for work, a formal or special occasion, Ginan and her team look forward to dressing you.
Ginan is developing a new kind of bridal hen-party experience — one that goes beyond celebration and becomes a keepsake for life.
Instead of a traditional bridal shower, the bride and her closest family or friends come together in a guided creative workshop, where they co-create something truly meaningful.
During the workshop, you'll:
• Design and decorate the bride’s veil or a special bridal piece
• Hand-paint or embellish a dress detail or fabric element
• Stitch personal touches and meaningful symbols together
• Share moments of laughter, connection, and creativity
Each guest contributes something personal, turning the workshop into a living memory, stitched and painted with care.
The bride leaves with more than a beautiful handmade piece.
She leaves with a creation carrying the literal touch and love of the people closest to her — a piece to wear, keep, and treasure.
This workshop is about connection, craftsmanship, and celebrating love in a deeply meaningful way.
