Safeguarding Adults

Overview

It is the primary responsibility of our modern society to safeguard adults. The core message of the Safeguarding Adults course is to ensure every adult is protected from abuse and can exercise their basic human right. This is irrespective of race, religion, gender or location. Every adult has the right to lead a happy and healthy life. If you aspire to, or already work in the health and social care sectors, you will understand the importance of this subject better. The course provides an in-depth overview of how to tackle safeguarding issues and help adults preserve their basic rights. This is an important subject matter and something that must be taken seriously to ensure the right to live freely. If you work in an organisation, it is the responsibility of the organisation to take the necessary steps to protect, support and empower adults in your care.

Key modules will be fully explored in Safeguarding Adults and you will be equipped with the relevant skills and knowledge on how to identify abuse indicators, what actions to take if you believe an adult is being abused and how to implement safeguarding measures correctly. As an adult care worker, you will play a significant role in ensuring current safeguarding practices and guidelines are followed.

Safeguarding Adults features facts and figures of adults at risk, how to care for adults under your care and provide support when needed, understand different types of abuse and the legislation related to safeguarding to reduce this abuse. This is a CPD certified course which demonstrates to potential employers that you are continually developing yourself, and will make you a desirable candidate across the health and care sectors.
