The aim of this online training course is to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and competency to install, configure, optimise and manage Windows 2012 in a server environment.

Prior to pursuing a MCSA Windows Server 2012 course, it is necessary that students should have achieved MTA certification. The following MTA modules are available to learners as part of this course.:

Windows OS Fundamentals Exam (MTA 98-349)

Windows Server Administration Fundamentals- Exam (MTA 98-365)

MTA Networking Fundamentals: Microsoft exam (MTA 98-366)

Security Fundamentals – Exam (MTA 98-367)

The learner will gain skills to create and configure virtual machine settings, storage and virtual networks in Windows Server 2012. They will be able to manage Deploy and configure Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and DNS service and to create and manage Active Directory users, computers and organizational units.

The Microsoft Windows Server 2012 course prepares learners for the MCP 70-410, 70-411 and 70-412 examinations which if passed, earns the individual the MCSA Windows Server 2012 award. However, some learners may prefer to take any or all sections of the exam separately.

The MCSA Windows Server 2012 certification is a prerequisite to further Microsoft certifications, such as MCSE.

Entry Requirements Age Requirements: Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving age. Professional Education: Candidates for the MCSA on Windows Server 2012 certification should have completed the MTA exams in eCollege FNCN 94 course (Changing Career to the IT Sector)or complete the four MTA modules which are part of the course content. Participants should ideally have at least one year of experience implementing and administering both network and client operating systems. They are knowledgeable about the planning, design, and implementation of Microsoft Windows server solutions and architectures in mid-sized to large companies. Aptitude: Good verbal and written communication skills are desirable. Personal Skills: An analytical approach to problem solving and decision making is essential. Good diagnostic skills. Self motivated, ability to work on ones own and complete tasks to a deadline. Willingness to actively communicate with others in an online environment. Previous Experience: Experience in using web based learning is an advantage. Special Requirements: To actively participate in course activities learners must have access to a computer with broadband Internet access (a min of 1MB Broadband is recommended).
