Course Summary
Teagasc College of Amenity Horticulture provides a QQI Level 5 Component Award in Fruit and Vegetable production. The course is run at our campus in Ashtown, Dublin 15. It will equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to grow and manage a wide range of fruit and vegetables across all seasons. This course will lead to a minor award at NFQ Level 5 in Fruit and Vegetable Production.
Who Should Apply?
This Fruit and Vegetable Production course is designed for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of the production of many food crops or for those who just have a general interest in horticulture. It affords the opportunity to study an area of horticulture on a part time basis while gaining an approved Level 5 minor award. By taking other Level 5 modules, students may be able to build towards a full award of QQI Certificate in Horticulture.

- Explain fruit and vegetable nutrition
