The 2022 Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Employment Law & Remote Working from the Diploma Centre at the Law Society of Ireland provides participants with a comprehensive guide to the key legal and ethical issues relating to the complex areas surrounding employment law and remote working.
Expert speakers, employment lawyers and academics will examine many topics including the right to request remote working, flexible working practices, health and safety considerations, equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and much more!

Who should attend?
This course is open to everyone and anyone who has even a general interest in learning more about employment law and remote working. It will be of particular interest to legal professionals, trainees, barristers, students and to those involved in the employment law spheres, either in a professional or voluntary capacity. We also warmly welcome participants from other disciplines and jurisdictions who have an interest in learning more about employment law from an Irish perspective, for comparative purposes.
Course structure
The course runs over a five week period with materials for the weekly modules released every Tuesday in the form of a number of short video presentations from expert contributors. These are supported by suggested readings, three quizzes, and ‘live’ online Q & A sessions with the relevant experts. Participants who successfully complete weekly tasks and collect three ‘badges’ may opt to pay a small administrative fee to obtain a digital Certificate of Completion awarded by the Law Society of Ireland.
