CDM Awareness

CDM (Construction, Design and Management) Awareness provides a comprehensive overview of the role and responsibilities related to CDM Regulations in relation to health and safety in the construction industry. You will learn of the legislation and legal duty of ensuring your construction workers safety is held in the highest regard. If you work in construction or employ individuals to work for you, the course provides guidance on applying CDM regulations to ensure occupational safety on a construction project. The health and safety regulations should be applied to all stages of construction including design, planning and completion.

The Construction, Design and Management Regulations 2015 act will provide a thorough outline of legal requirements for individuals employed in construction, demolition and refurbishment. Construction workers who directly work in such a setting or their employers who are responsible for them must be fully informed of the role and responsibility of the duty holder and take into consideration that each construction worker is right for their job. The aim of CDM is to prevent injuries and accidents on construction sites by covering the process of risk assessment, principles and various construction hazards and its safe handling.

The CDM Awareness course features practical steps and guidance to assist the company or organisation by influencing health, safety and welfare of the project. This is an IIRSM approved course which demonstrates to potential employers that you are continually developing yourself, and will make you a desirable candidate in the construction and demolition sectors.
