Film And Television Production Course.

The BA Degree in Film and Television Production, delivered in conjunction with Griffith College, is a rigorous and an in depth, three-year programme aimed at developing core technical and production skills along with an aesthetic and historical appreciation of the development of the film and television industries.

This fascinating course gives students key skills in writing, directing, cinematography, editing and completing projects for inclusion in an industry-standard show reel. The final year of the programme offers students a selection of electives allowing for specialisation in areas such as visual effects, post-production sound, screenwriting and cinematography.

This programme is aimed at learners who have already begun to experiment with film making and visual storytelling in some capacity. Applicants will have a passion and curiosity for film and television, and the means by which it is produced. This will be supported by a proven interest in film making.

Taught by expert tutors drawn predominantly from the professional industry, this programme is committed to fostering creativity alongside the practical skills essential to the contemporary film and television arena.


Using the industry standard software and studio equipment available at Windmill Lane Recording Studios, you will work with our professional lecturing staff and industry guest speakers to develop a combination of practical skills, underpinned by theoretical lectures and tutorials. Programme modules and content will evolve to reflect educational developments.

Entry Requirements -A proven interest in film and television production, and an interest in related creative media arts -Basic knowledge of computers (either Mac or PC) and video/audio software will be helpful, but not essential before starting the course Note: Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant work or life experience will also be considered.
