Anatomy and Physiology is a QQI Level 5 course that is delivered through blended learning. It will equip you with an understanding of the structure and function of the human body as well as an understanding of the inter-relationship between the systems of the body.
This is an ideal course to build a strong foundation of knowledge in human anatomy and physiology. It is particularly suited to anyone undertaking higher education courses without previous knowledge of anatomy and physiology or where this subject is a core element.
Overview
The human body is a complex structure of systems all working to maintain optimum human health. This anatomy and physiology course is designed to equip learners with knowledge of the structure and function of each of the systems of the human body and an understanding of the interrelationship between the systems of the body.
You will learn the anatomical features and the physiological functions for each system to give you a good foundation of knowledge of the fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology.
Who will recognise my qualification?
Upon completion of this course, you will be awarded a QQI Level 5 Component Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology.
This qualification can be used in lieu of Leaving Certificate Biology for entry to Portobello Institute’s Level 8 sports degrees.
Many other institutes also recognise this qualification however it is important to confirm this with the individual institution.
