An Introduction To Photography (Online 7:30pm Class)

Each class is delivered on the Zoom platform and is live and interactive.

For many years Dublin Camera Club has hosted the best photography course in the city. Now, we have adapted our course to deliver the same top-class content online, while continuing to maintain the personal attention that has been a feature of our classes over the years and still offering terrific value for money at €120 for the course.

The course is made up of nine on-line classes delivered live by experienced members of the club. Classes will allow for Q&A sessions and will also comprise small group practical sessions which will be held mainly outdoors. We will also allocate an experienced photographer & member of the club as your mentor for the duration of the classes. You will be able to discuss issues with your mentor, send images to him/her for suggestions as to how to improve and you will have the practical sessions with your tutor.

The course is a general introduction to photography and is suitable for both absolute beginners and people with a little basic photographic knowledge.

Each class commences at 7.30pm and finishes at approximatley 9.00pm

Each class is dedicated to a particular topic and covers:

• Cameras and Equipment
• The principles of good exposure
• Composing your photographs
• Basic editing Techniques
• Monochrome Photography
• Photographing people
• Holiday and Travel Photography
• Landscape Photography
• We also cover using camera phones in your photography.

Each module will incorporate comprehensive notes and suggested exercises based on its content.

All course participants and club members must be over the age of 18.

When you register, you will have the option to take out full membership for 1 year at 50% reduction (€60)
