Advanced Acting For Camera Course
This Advanced Acting For Camera Course is aimed at those who have some training and experience in acting – but need hands-on experience with Film Acting. The course covers Soaps, Episodic TV, and Film Acting, and the techniques required for each format.
This will be an intensive course. It will employ one to three cameras, and focusing solely on Film and TV scene work.
- Framing, eye lines, blocking, continuity for the one camera (Film and Episodic TV) and for the three-camera set-ups (Soaps and Sitcoms).
- How to feel comfortable in front of camera and create a circle of “in the moment” security while on set.
Gillian Reynolds Casting will focus on the technical skills required for working on different formats for Film, TV and Soaps.
A Guest Film Director, will put a focus on film and the Art of Acting for Film. The class will be based on practical exercises for camera but also contain playback analysis.
There will also be a Masterclass with Hilary Reynolds and Clelia Murphy.They will work on Acting techniques and script analysis for TV Soaps and the approaches an actor takes to bring a soap character to life. Having been both an Actress and currently one of the principal writers for FAIR CITY for several years, Hilary Reynolds will analyse the subtle techniques needed to master the development of Soap characterisation. She will use current Soap scripts for practicals.
