Acting for Camera for Newcomers-Tuesday Evening course 6.15pm -9.15pm
Ever thought about Acting but never did anything about it- it’s been in the back of your mind for awhile- and you’d really like to give it a go!
Acting for Camera is aimed at those who are new to the Industry with little or no Acting experience and who want to know and explore Film and TV acting -which is very different from stage Acting.
It’s hard work but lots of fun too!
The course is led by Casting Director Gillian Reynolds.( www.gillianreynoldscasting.com )
The course will run for 10 consecutive weeks on a Tuesday evening online. Places are limited.
The course covers the following:
- How to break a script down
- How to create a character and backstory
- Confidence Building
- Presentation Skills
- Acting for camera – camera angles, eye lines, and framing
- Improvisation
- Body language-what the camera sees
- Casting for TV Commercials/Short Films and how you source auditions
- Audition and Interview technique
- The Art of Self-taping
- Sourcing Auditions
- How to market yourself within the Industry with no Agent
- Make a short Film from theory learnt in class
- Compiling a C.V.
- How Actors get an Agent
- Upon completion of the course you will be offered the facility to get your showreel Professionally filmed-graded and edited plus avail of our Professional photographer to take your headshoot.
