This Acoustic Guitar Miking Techniques course will teach you the process of recording an acoustic guitar in a studio setting, with a particular focus on microphone selection and placement. Gain a deep understanding of the reasons behind placement and adjustments choices, and you will be able to hear before and after comparisons that will guide you in your own recording environment. Any good Recording Engineer will tell you that every guitar has a unique sound, and to capture this in a studio environment can be a challenge, but this course will provide you with the tools to see measurable progress. The descriptive instruction, insightful information and relevant techniques from Jeff Dykhouse will give you the confidence and education you need to improve the recordings of your acoustic guitar’s unique sound.

Meet the instructor:
Jeff Dykhouse has been actively involved in audio engineering for more than 20 years. He has been a user of computer-based recording systems from their inception. Jeff’s diverse career has earned him gold and platinum awards (RIAA). Many of Jeffs endeavors have been within the Praise & Worship genre, where he has worked with top artists such as Paul Baloche, Crystal Lewis, Kevin Prosch and The Violet Burning. Additional clients include corporations such as RCA, Apple Computer, NBC and Charles Schwab. Jeff owns and operates a recording facility and systems design company in Temecula, CA.

How will I be assessed?
You will have one assignment. Pass mark is 65%.You will only need to pay £19 for assessment.You will receive the results within 72 hours of submittal, and will be sent a certificate in 7-14 days.

Those who successfully pass this course will be awarded a Acoustic Guitar Miking Techniques certificate. Anyone eligible for certification will receive a free e-certificate, and printed certificate.
