QQI COMBINED LEVEL 5 & 6 SPECIAL NEEDS ASSISTING COURSE (PART-TIME) 

The College of Progressive Education’s QQI Level 5 & Level 6 Minor Award Special Needs Assisting Part-Time Course is a qualification that will allow you to work as a special needs assistant in different settings. This combined SNA course consists of three modules: Special Needs Assisting (Level 5 5N1786), Children with Additional Needs (Level 5 5N2396), and Special Needs Assisting (Level 6 6N1957). The SNA combined QQI Level 5 & 6 course provides the learner with an in-depth understanding of children with additional needs, the role of an special needs assistant, and Irish Legislation.

The purpose of this Part-Time course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to work effectively, under direction, with young children with additional needs. Moreover, this combined SNA course equips the learner in the theory and practice underpinning the education and care of those who present with special educational needs.

Special Needs Assisting Part-Time Course

You will attend class one evening a week from 6.30pm to 9.30pm for 20 evenings. This allows you to fit learning around your busy working and family life. The course also includes 8 recorded specific topic lectures. Completing this SNA course will ensure you gain valuable insight from all three modules which makes you stand out when seeking employment.

Upon completing this Part-Time course, you will hold a QQI Level 5 & Level 6 Minor Award in Special Needs Assisting enabling you to work as a special needs assistant.

Budget 2020 has allocated around €11 billion pumped into education, allowing the creation of 1,000 new Special Needs Assistant jobs in Ireland. Read more about the news here.

  • QQI Level 5 Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting 5N1786
  • QQI Level 5 Component Certificate in Children with Additional Needs 5N2396
  • QQI Level 6 Component Certificate in Special Needs Assisting 6N1957

Pay in Full – €950

Pay in Installments –€1,145

(€350 deposit & 3 monthly installments paid consecutively of €265 starting when the course begins)

The course fee is already inclusive all documentation, lecturing, learner registration, and QQI certification fees. There are no other fees to pay.
