The Walmer College and Holistic Centre operates as a teaching therapy centre promoting personal growth and development through the holistic approach to living. The college was founded in 1989 in response to the steadily growing public demand for professional training in the area of complementary medicine. The changing attitudes in health care and the increasing trend towards the use of natural therapies are reflected by the success of the college to date.
Situated in River House, an elegant building in the heart of Raheny village, the college provides an ideal setting in which to pursue a new and exciting career. River House is situated less than 2 minutes walk from the Raheny Dart station. We are proud to announce that we have expanded our college and clinic.
The college is based on the principle of working with body mind and spirit in a safe and gentle atmosphere. The holistic approach doesn’t discourage taking pharmaceuticals but in the words of the clinics chiropractor ‘the greatest drugstore in the world is your own body’. It has the power to manufacture every drug or chemical you need in order to function in a healthy manner. Your body is manufacturing insulin, cortisone, adrenaline, histamines, antibiotics, laxatives and mood-changing drugs. It is a matter of restoring the body’s natural balance.
