About Us

Why the Shanghai Acupuncture College Ireland?

  • Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and 6th.People’s Hospital of Shanghai affiliated to Jiao Tong University is one of the most famous Universities in China, it is in existence for over 100 years.

  • Our Director of study Prof Wu Yao Chi and his teaching team are some of the most distinguish lecturers in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) both in China and internationally. All lectures will be conducted from members of Prof Wu Yao Chi team.

  • Class sizes are designed to ensure that all students receive special attention as required.

  • 6th People’s Hospital of Shanghai affiliated to Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Acupuncture College Ireland award all our Diplomas, Certificates and Degrees.

  • Our College is a member of the China Ireland Acupuncture Association (CIAA) and is affiliated to Shanghai Association of TCM in China. Recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO)

  • 6th.People’s Hospital of Shanghai affiliated to Jiao Tong University is part of our overall international teaching base. The 6th People’s. Hospital offers excellent experiences and facilities for student when they study in China.

Accreditation

The Shanghai Acupuncture College of Ireland is affiliated to the Shanghai University of T.C.M. and 6th.People’s Hospital of Shanghai affiliated to Jiao Tong University. Both the Shanghai University of T.C.M and the 6th People’s Hospital of Shanghai approved and accredit the teaching programme.

The 6th. People’s Hospital of Shanghai affiliated to Jiao Tong University and the Shanghai Acupuncture College of Ireland will award a Degree, Diploma or Certificate to the students who have successfully completed their programme and pass all relevant examinations to the required level, to the satisfaction of the College Examination Board.

China Ireland Acupuncture Association (CIAA)

All students will be eligible to join the China Ireland Acupuncture Association and the Association of TCM Ireland. The CIAA is fully recognised by the Department of Health in Ireland and the Association members are covered by Balen Insurance UK.
