  Who we are

Litton Lane Training was established in 1987 and has since been involved in running a variety of health and fitness courses in the Dublin area. As the years pass more and more students are deciding to enrol on an ever growing selection of courses.

Teaching Staff

Litton Lane Training instructors/tutors are all qualified specialists in their own areas of expertise. Certain qualifications and experience are demanded before teaching on any of our courses is considered. The majority of tutors normally continue their education in specialist areas. The ability to continuously read, research or attend seminars is crucial to the ongoing development of any health/exercise professional. Our tutors are enthusiastic, helpful and friendly and go to great lengths to ensure that students enjoy and benefit from all our courses.

  Courses

ITEC Fitness Instructor Course

The aim of the course is to teach students the skills of assessing the exercise needs of individuals and groups and to provide an appropriate training program to meet those needs. The course syllabus allows for a large emphasis to be placed on the practical elements of the course.

Students are trained in areas such as resistance and circuit training, exercise to music and step aerobics, body conditioning and flexibility. The inclusion of other topics such as anatomy, physiology, nutrition, stress management and first aid ensure that all aspects of health and fitness instruction are covered.

Students also have the option of taking the Personal Training Certificate Course as an add-on option, and can upgrade to ACSM later if they wish.

This course prepares the instructor for their work as a one to one fitness trainer and concentrates on a more clinical approach to the area of client assessment and program planning. A personal trainer needs to be knowledgeable, experienced and skilful so that the client gets the best results possible and good value for money.

Personal training is a specialised form of instruction where the client is assessed and trained by a suitably qualified trainer on a one to one basis. This allows the trainer to completely concentrate on the needs and goals of the client thus resulting in faster progress and greater achievement of training goals.

STOTT Pilates Instructor Course

The STOTT PILATES course qualifies graduates to teach pilates in a group or one to one setting. The skills gained on this course will be useful in a number of applications such as improving body shape, posture education and correction, muscle strengthening, increasing flexibility, injury prevention and treatment in particular lower back injury, core conditioning and sports performance programs.
