Certification

CMIT provides courses which lead to certification by the following Educational Bodies, Professional Bodies and Organisations. ASET (UK)
ASET is a UK awarding body providing genuine accredited awards, and is licensed by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Accreditation for ASET distance learning courses is provided by Study House which is a licensed UK ASET centre. ASET awards Levels, 2, 3 and 4 roughly equate to FETAC levels 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

International Association of Book-keepers
The IAB is the longest established professional body for book-keeping. It was formed in 1973, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards in book keeping. It provides distance learning courses in over 90 countries throughout the world. IAB Qualifications provided by CMIT are qualifications listed on the UK National Qualifications Framework. The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the world’s most successful IT skills certification programme. CMIT provides the Thomson ILT Series™ of approved Adobe Certification Courseware. Adobe certification is an industry standard of excellence, and it's the absolute best way to communicate your proficiency in leading products from Adobe. An Adobe Certified Expert is a person who has demonstrated proficiency with one or more Adobe software products and has successfully passed an official Adobe exam. CMIT is an official CIW Authorised Training Partner. CIW is a worldwide leader in IT certification. With over 80,000 CIW certifications it is recognised as the standard Internet certification by academic institutions and companies. Students can earn CIW certificates in various Information Technology (IT) job roles, from the foundational CIW Associate certification, continuing to CIW Professional and specialization certifications, and up to advanced-level Master CIW certifications. CompTIA™
CompTIA is the Computing Technology Industry Association with over 20,000 members worldwide. The CompTIA A+ certification is the world standard entry-level qualification for computer technicians and engineers, recognised by employers everywhere. It validates IT hardware and software technical skills and confirms a technician's ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and networking. The National Open College Network (NOCN) is one of the UK's foremost provider of accreditation services for adult learning and is a QCA, CCEA and ACCAC recognised national qualification awarding body providing NQF qualifications. OCN awards Levels, 2, 3 and 4 roughly equate to FETAC levels 4, 5 and 6 respectively. Accreditation for OCN courses is provided by UK Open Learning which is a licensed OCN North East Centre. Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA)
TIA is the official sponsor of the Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) and Certified in Convergent Network Technologies (CCNT) industry standard certification programs. CMIT provides TIA officially approved courses giving students the opportunity to complete the official TIA exams in order to become certified.

International Academy of Travel (IAOT)
Based in at the South-East Regional Airport in Waterford, Ireland, the IAOT, has for over 15 years, provided specialist training for the Airline Industry. Along with leading Travel Industry Companies such as KLM Airline, Galileo Ireland (a wholly owned subsidiary of Galileo International) and the World Travel Centre (Farebank), IAOT provides courses for Irish and International Students. Courses are recognised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) which represents 256 airlines worldwide. IAOT are also FETAC approved. Association and Memberships 

European Association for Distance Learning
CMIT is a member of the European Association for Distance Learning. The EADL is the European association of schools, institutions and individuals working in correspondence and distance education. With members from over 20 European countries. The mission of EADL is to represent all privately-owned and non-governmental European organisations offering high quality and educationally sound distance learning. 

EADL aims to improve the quality and acceptance of distance learning to ensure the maximum benefit for students. EADL provides its members with a forum for open discussion of all issues related to distance learning and for sharing ideas and good practice. It is the view of EADL that credibility is of the utmost importance and all EADL members sign up to the Code of Conduct which is part of the bye-laws of the Association. They must also comply with the 'Minimum Standards of Quality for EADL Members'.

CMIT is a member of AONTAS - the Irish National Association of Adult Education, a voluntary membership organisation. Aontas exists to promote the development of a learning society through the provision of a quality and comprehensive system of adult learning and education which is accessible to and inclusive to all. 

The members of AONTAS, who now number approximately 500, comprise statutory and voluntary providers of adult, community and distance learning education nationwide as well as individual members who are mostly tutor / facilitators and learners. AONTAS promotes the importance of adult and community education as a key part of lifelong learning. It influences the development of policy and lobbies on behalf of the sector.
